Wow - what a thunder storm we had last night. Torrential rain, masses of thunder, sheet and forked lightning. It was one of those storms where you get to see all your neighbours: everyone was peering out of windows looking at the sky, temporarily lost in wonder, then realising that they too could be seen and hastily shutting curtains. It was funny. Even the weird man across the street was staring out - but that may just have been at me. 
I'm off work today - the cold/flu thing is still with me and I can't hear in one ear. There's no way I'm going to drive myself in - I'd space out and crash. Off to make some lemsip....
